The National Honor Society food drive continues this week. Please bring a can of food or other non-perishable food item to school. The drive ends Wednesday, Dec. 12. The class that collects the most food at each campus will be given a pizza lunch! Let's help our community.

Regular school classes will be held for all FDISD students Friday, Dec. 7.
Only Kinder-Grade 8 students who qualified for UIL teams will travel to Balmorhea Friday, Dec. 7 to compete. Most students will return to Fort Davis by 2 p.m. The second bus will arrive about 5:30 pm.

Junior High Students will eat breakfast in Balmorhea before the UIL competition. Elementary students are encouraged to have breakfast before coming to school or can eat breakfast from 7:15-7:45 at the gym during regular breakfast service.

Elementary and Junior High Students are participating in UIL Academic Competition in Balmorhea Friday, Dec. 7. The bus will leave about 8:30 a.m. Students competing in the morning will return about 2 p.m. Students competing in the afternoon will return about 5:30 p.m.
Students may bring money to buy snacks from the concession stand. Five dollars ($5.00) should be enough for a drink and candy. Students may also bring snacks. Lunch is provided.
Students should wear dress clothes such as a button-down/collared shirt, pants or jeans. Girls can wear a dress or skirt, if they want.

Mrs. Foster’s 3rd graders are learning about the Jewish holiday Hanukkah. Today they cooked latkes.


Today's JH basketball game against Valentine at 5:00pm will be a boys' game. The JH girls will not be playing today.

The TxDot is hosting a public meeting today at Dirks-Anderson Gym from 5-7 p.m. All are welcome to attend and learn about the 2-year study of the Hwy 67 Corridor that is focused on identifying projects for the corridor and current safety concerns.
