Fort Davis Cheer is beginning a Spirit Fundraiser today that will run through April 19th.  The sale is all online, so click the link below to check out all of the awesome Fort Davis spirit items and support your home team! 
Items should be delivered the first week of May.  Go Indians!
Proceeds will assist with extra costs of Cheer going to UCA Cheer Camp in San Angelo, Texas this summer, as well as items needed for the fall.

Marcos Renteria is the Dirks-Anderson first place winner in the Friends of the Jeff Davis County Library art and writing contest. Cashlyn Trussell won Honorable Mention. The students submitted drawings of West Texas Animals in conjunction with the recent Wayne Baize art exhibit



Felicia Locke, Dirks-Anderson fifth grade and gifted/talented teacher, is this year’s Texas Conservation Teach of the Year. She was nominated by the Toyah-Limpia Soil and Water Conservation District. Locke is also the Area 2 Texas SWCBC teacher of the year. Locke will be honored at the state convention in San Antonio in October


Students at Fort Davis JSHS and Dirks-Anderson will be taking STAAR tests next week from April 9th-11th.  
Some students may have to test through lunch, so sending your student to school with a lunch on their testing days may be beneficial.  Please help your student get plenty of rest and a breakfast before they test.  Also, please keep distractions or visitations to the school at a minimum during these testing days.  We look forward to a successful week of testing, thank you!
