Information for 2020 Graduates Congratulations to our 2020 Graduates! This is definitely an exciting milestone for each of our graduating seniors. We also understand this has been a semester of many changes for each of our graduating seniors and families. Fort Davis ISD is also looking forward to this memorable occasion for the Class of 2020. Please see below for information regarding the upcoming ceremony. A health screening form will be your admission ticket into the auditorium for filming and for the ceremony on the football field for the graduate and up to 5 family members of the same household. All of this information will be mailed to the graduate's home address, including the screening letter for admission into the ceremony. Family and friends who do not have a letter for admission to sit in the stands will be allowed to view the ceremony from their parked vehicles around the football field green pipe fence. If you have any questions, please call the high school principal at (432) 426-4444. Way to go 2020 Fort Davis Graduates! __________________________________________ Fort Davis ISD Graduation 2020 Guidelines and Procedures Date: May 22, 2020 Time: 7:00pm The graduation ceremony will be broadcast live on Facebook. The ceremony will also be recorded and posted on our website for future viewing. Plan for Good Weather *Location: Bart Coan Football Field *Fort Davis graduating seniors will be allowed up to 5 family members living in the same household to be seated in the football stands. *Social distancing of 6 feet will be required for each family group. *The 5 family members that will be sitting in the football stands will not be allowed to park around the football field green pipe fence. You will need to park outside of the football field gate. If necessary, you may drop off a person who cannot walk, and then park outside the football field. *Health screening forms (to screen for signs or symptoms of COVID-19) will be mailed to each graduate for completion by the family members that will be seated in the football stands. *THIS FORM WILL BE THE ADMISSION TICKETS FOR UP TO 5 FAMILY MEMBERS. *YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED INTO THE CEREMONY WITHOUT A COMPLETED AND SIGNED FORM. *Each person in the family group, including the graduate, entering the football stands will be required to use hand sanitizer. *Seating in the football stands will be marked off, with 1 section per graduating senior family group. *Each section will be assigned using a lottery system. We will let you know which section your family group is assigned when you arrive at the ceremony. *Social distancing of 6 feet per section will be required. *Each family group will be required to stay in their section of the football stands for the entire ceremony. You will not be allowed to come onto the field. *All other spectators will be allowed to park around the football field green pipe fence. *Social distancing of 6 feet or more will be required for all other persons. *At the end of the graduation ceremony, graduates will exit the field and be joined by family members. *There will be no receiving line or reception. *Graduates and family members are not allowed to congregate at the school after the filming of graduation. Plan for Rainy Weather *Location: Video of students filmed individually on Wednesday, May 20th beginning at 9:00am according to an assigned schedule. If the outdoor ceremony must be canceled due to bad weather, this video will be broadcast/shared on May 22nd at 7:00pm. (Seating will be sanitized after the filming of each graduate receiving his/her diploma.) *An opportunity will be given for family members to take pictures. *The graduate and family will then exit through the back of the auditorium and the opposite front door. *Social distancing of 6 feet will be required. *There will be no receiving line or reception. I will schedule a Zoom meeting with all graduates for Tuesday, May 19th at 3:00pm to discuss and “rehearse” for both versions of graduation. The link will be sent to the student’s school email. Parents are invited to attend the Zoom meeting with their child.

END OF SCHOOL YEAR INFORMATION Dear Parent/Guardian/Student, Due to Governor Abbott’s Executive Order extending the closure of schools in Texas, Fort Davis ISD has decided to make the following changes to our 2019-2020 school calendar. May 8 Last day of instruction This is the last day that teachers will send assignments to students. May 13 Last day for seniors to submit all school assignments. May 15 Last day for students to submit all assignments, quizzes, etc. Students must have all assignments submitted online to teachers or delivered to the school for paper assignments. May 18-20 Students turn in school materials and equipment during assigned dates/times. Students will turn in all computers, hotspots, calculators, textbooks, athletic equipment, and other school property. Students will also pick up their personal items. May 22 Graduation Ceremony The details for the graduation ceremony will be provided as soon as possible via letter to seniors, student email, FDISD website, and Fort Davis Indian Facebook page.
