
Fort Davis Junior High School students receive prizes from Vicki Maline and Barbara Medley for their artwork entered in the JDC Child Welfare Board's contest, What Does a Happy Family Look Like? Age 9-11: 1st place, Olin Welch, 3rd Place Liam Biskamp; Age 12-13: 1st place, Taylor Sanchez, 2nd place, Laurel Taylor, 3rd place, Kaylin Rasbach, and Honorable Mention, Gracie Boultinghouse.


FDISD will be releasing all students early at lunch on Friday, April 22.

The FDHS tennis team represented our district very well in San Angelo, at the Class A, Region 2 meet! They played some great tennis against some great players! Maite Morales brought home a third place finish in women’s singles!

Tomorrow, April first, is the end of the six weeks. Students that are required to attend Indian Day tomorrow have been notified. Those students are required to attend scheduled classes.

FDHS One Act Play advances to Area competition in San Angelo on April 2!


Little Dribblers teams, 1st through 6th grades. The 5th/6th grade boys team is undefeated and playing in the season ending tournament this Saturday, in the Alpine Middle School gym. The first game starts at 10:40 am.





Texas Tech FCA Camp



Freshmen: John Miles, Evan Clark, Sawyer Downing and sophomore: Truett Regan, participated in the CX Debate State Championship Tournament at The University of Texas on March 14, 2022. These students have had a successful novice season and are already looking forward to next year. Good job, Indians!!

Regional History Fair results: Individual Exhibit, 2nd Place-Taylor Sanchez. Group Exhibit,2nd Place-Brenna Downing and Gracie Boultinghouse. Outstanding Regional Entry and $100 monetary award, Olin Welch and Josiah Hayes. These 5 students will attend the State History Fair held in Austin on April 23, 2022.


FDISD will have a send-off for our boys basketball team today, at 2:45 pm, on their way to the area basketball playoff in Crane tonight, at 6:30 pm.

The FDISD boys basketball team will be playing against Irion County in Crane on Friday, February 25, at 6:30 pm, for the Area playoff game. Admission will be $3 for adults and $2 for students.

FDISD will be releasing students early on Friday, March 4, for Spring Break. Please plan to pick up your child(ren) at 2:30 pm that day. Have a great time and be safe! We will see everyone back on Monday, March 14.

The FDISD Board of Trustees has reschedule their April 11 regular meeting to April 4.
