FDISD has been notified that a parent of an elementary student and a secondary student has tested positive for COVID-19. These students have been sent home for a 14 day quarantine, but have not manifested any symptoms as of 9-22-20. Please continue to monitor your child for symptoms. Lots going on tonight with volleyball at 4 pm, football at 7:30 pm, and a chance to get a coupon for ice cream from the Drug Store when you complete your 2020 Census (at the football game), if you have not already done so. Drop off procedure changes: JH students will be dropped off at the JH building. Cars should enter the parking lot from Buckeye St. and exit onto Highway 17. As JH students arrive they are to report to the band hall for temperature check. HS drop off will remain in the same location. As HS students arrive they will report to the auditorium for temperature checks.

All students attending FDISD for the 2020-21 school year, either on campus or on-line, need to register. Registration can be done on-line or at the campus office. The on-line forms are located on the district website at: www.fdisd.com Students planning to attend school on-line need to come and pick up school computers and hotspots, if needed, prior to the first day of class, Monday August 24th. COVID-19 Prevention Efforts at Athletics are as follows: 1. Athletes wash hands after entering locker room. 2. Athletes will be assigned lockers with empty lockers adjacent, or with locker of sibling adjacent. 3. Athletes must confirm they have no current symptoms, or symptoms within the last 10 days, prior to practice. 4. Athletes will be assigned 1 (one) workout partner for a season. 5. No more than 4 athletes will be allowed in weight room at one time. 6. Full contact drills are limited to two days per week. 7. Balls and equipment will be cleaned/disinfected after each practice. 8. Athletes must wash hands before departing the locker rooms. 9. No loitering allowed in locker rooms. 10. Seating on buses will maximize distance between riders and windows will be opened, weather permitting.
