Bell schedules for next week are as follows: Monday, normal schedule; Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:55 am to 2:35 pm; Thursday, 8:55 am to 12:05 pm (lunch) and early release for the Christmas Holidays. There will be NO breakfast offered early, or after-school program, next week.

Our regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting will begin at 6 pm on Monday, December 13, instead of at 7 pm.

FDISD is conducting a survey of those parents that may want their 5 to 11 year old children to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Please call the Superintendent's office at 432-426-4440, extension 200, if you are interested. FDISD will set up availability for the vaccine if enough parents are interested. The deadline for submitting your interest is Friday, December 3.

Neveah Sanchez was one of the young ladies selected to represent Fort Davis High School at the 2021 Walt Disney World Resort for the Orlando Thanksgiving Tour! She preformed at the Thanksgiving day parade today!




The theater class and one act players went to The Globe Theater at Odessa College on November 18th to watch William Shakespeare's comedy, Twelfth Night, presented by actors of the Texas Shakespeare Festival from Kilgore, Texas.

Our Fort Davis Student council hosted a Veterans Day Assembly to honor our local veterans.


The junior high basketball games versus Van Horn scheduled for Thursday, November 18, have been cancelled.

We ask that all veterans please check in and provide their name and branch of service. The FDHS Area Championship volleyball game will be held in Andrews, on Saturday, November 6, at 4 pm. We will be playing Wildorado HS. We hope to see lots of Fort Davis folks there! Go GREEN!

Sara Pittman, Fort Davis High School teacher and High School UIL Coordinator presented at the UIL Super Conference in Austin. Her lecture was on an Introduction to Cross Examination Debate.


The Fort Davis High School Spanish classes invite the public to a showing of "The Day of the Dead" on Tuesday, November 2nd, from 4:30 to 6:30 in the High School library. Refreshments will be served. For more information call: (432) 294-1430.

FDISD will be releasing students at lunch on Friday, November 5, so that staff, students, and families may attend the AREA volleyball championship (time and place TBD). FDISD will have NO SCHOOL on Friday, November 12, to allow for staff development. FDISD will release students at lunch on Friday, November 19, for the Thanksgiving Holidays.

How about those INDIANS! Volleyball District Champs! Next up will be the Area championship on Friday, or Saturday, Nov 5, or 6....opponent to be determined....location to be determined.



The FDHS Student Council will recognize our first responders before tomorrow night's football game against Marfa. First responders should meet on the field with student council members at 7:15 pm.

Parents, please remember our Dirks-Anderson elementary open house event tonight from 5 to 6 pm. We hope to see everyone there!

Tomorrow's Pep Rally for the Fort Davis-Klondike football game will be held at 11:45 A.M.

The junior high football game will be held AT Marfa on Thursday, Oct 7, at 5:30 pm. The high school football game against Klondike has been moved to Rankin on Friday, Oct 8, at 7:00 pm.

Indian Day is tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 24. If your child received a note, or instructions, from their teacher then they are required to attend tutorials tomorrow, at school, following our normal bell schedule. Call the campus principals if you have questions.
