Fort Davis ISD continues to actively monitor the situation regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).  Like you, the safety and well-being of our students, staff and community is very important to us.  With information from our local public health officials, FDISD has taken steps within our district to protect against the coronavirus and will not have face-to-face classroom instruction for the week of March 16-20.  Instead, we will provide instruction through online methods and paper/pencil assignments.

Students in grades 6-12 will need to access their FDISD email and Google Classroom accounts every day during the week of March 16-20.  Students will receive their instruction, assignments, quizzes, etc. and attendance will be taken with this online method.  Students may also have paper/pencil assignments that need to picked up at the junior high-high school on Monday, March 16.  Assignment completion is mandatory.

Your child’s school email address is:

firstname.lastname@fdisd.com

It is very important for your child to check his/her email and log in to Google Classroom daily, as this is how the teachers will take attendance.

If your child has difficulties with the school computer, the T-Mobile hotspot, or his/her school email, please email Ms. Gonzalez at:

lgonzalez@fdisd.com

If your child has difficulties with the instruction or assignments, please email the individual teachers.  Emails are listed on our school website at www.fdisd.com

If you have any other questions or concerns, please email the campus principal at:

In closing, the Fort Davis ISD community is strong. We have weathered difficult situations before with resilience and a commitment to one another. We know there is a great deal of uncertainty, but we want you to be certain of one thing: We will always make decisions in the best interest of our students and staff.

Thank you,

Luane Porter
