On Saturday, Jan. 26, two Fort Davis High School teams traveled to Pecos to compete in their first ever Vex Turning Point Robotics Competition.
The VEX Robotics Competition, presented by Robotics Education & Competition has 20,000 teams from 50 countries playing in over 1,700 competitions worldwide. Our teams finished in the middle of the pack for this competition which is a great start!

FD High School Ag Department builds a 5-head holding rack for goats and lambs.

Fifth-grade students attended the 3rd annual MLK Day at the Presidio County Courthouse in Marfa. Mayor Anne Marie Nafziger read "Martin's Big Words" to the students. After the event, students enjoyed ice cream from Dairy Queen!

Toyah-Limpia Soil & Water Conservation poster winners Quinn Martin, 1st; Vivien Scripps-Granado, 2nd; Violet Sagers, 3rd. Laurie Meadows, USDA/NRCS Balmorhea SWCD Office, and Felicia Locke teach about conservation. This year’s theme is “Life in the Soil: Dig Deeper.”

Grade 5 students examine different solids using new binocular LED microscopes w/ digital cameras purchased with a generous donation from Andrew McGown to the district.
