STAAR test tutorials for summer testing Grades 5, 8 and high school: Grade 5 - June 20, 21, 25; Math 10:30-noon; Reading 1-3 p.m. at Dirks-Anderson Elementary. Grade 8 Math, June 25, 10 am-12 noon and 1-3 pm. Grade 8 Reading, June 22 & 26, 10 am-12 noon. English I, June 22, 10 am-12 noon & 1–2:30 pm. English II, June 22 & 26, 10 am-12 noon & 1– 2:30 pm. Biology, June 20, 1-3 pm. US History, June 25, 10 am–12 noon and 1– 3 pm. Please call the campus for more information.

Indian Basketball Camp BB camp for all girls & boys entering grades 6, 7, and 8 next year. June 5, 6, and 7 from 9:00am-noon. FDHS gym. $10 per camper. Camper will get basketball and water bottle.

FFA members celebrated their many awards and accomplishments during the annual banquet held last night. Way to go FFA! Go Green!!

Dirks-Anderson Final Week Activities! Late start Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - 9 a.m. Tuesday - Free hot dog lunch for Kinder-Grade 5 on the front lawn at noon. Music Program at 6:30 p.m. at the high school auditorium. Students arrive at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday - Pizza Party for A Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance. Water Field Day for Kinder-Grade 5 from 1-2:30 p.m. on the school's front lawn Thursday - Awards Program 11 a.m. in the gym. Early release at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

More Field Day fun!

What a great day of fun in the sun at the annual Student Council Field day!

Tomorrow, Friday, May 18, the FDHS Student Council will host the annual Field Day on the football field! Just a reminder to the junior high and high school students - make sure each class brings PRE-filled water balloons. Also each class needs to wear their class colors: 12th - Grey 11th - Black 10th - Green 9th - Orange 8th - Red 7th - Blue 6th - Pink It will be a fun-filled afternoon!!

Fort Davis Junior/Senior High School will hosts its annual Spring Awards Ceremony at 11 a.m., Friday, May 18 in the high school auditorium. Students will be recognized for JH UIL Academic awards as well as Junior High and High School class awards. Come support our Indians!

The Photography Class has rolled out the red carpet for tonight’s Photography Show. Come see the hard work and creativity of our students tonight at The Porch. Photographs are available for purchase in limited quantities.

We are excited to announce that our end of year music program will be at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, at the high school auditorium. This year’s program will feature music about kindness. Please dress your children in nice, dressy, or church-type clothing and bring them to the auditorium at 6:15 p.m.

More creativity from the JH Math Class...

JH Math Class at work...After choosing the subject of their sticky note project, each image had to be transferred onto grid paper, colors counted, background paper cut to size, and then the fun began! Students were surprised at the challenge required to keep everything lined up and straight to produce a recognizable image.

Veterinary Medical Applications class is practicing their suturing skills.
