The Fort Davis National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society worked together with the students of Dirks Anderson Elementary to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society during the month of February. They are proud to report that their Pennies For Patients project raised $1,875.12 this year! Proud to be an Indian!

Tomorrow's field trip to Monahans State Park for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grades has been cancelled due to possibility of rain. We will have movie/game day in the gym. Students may bring board games.

Kindergarteners and the Superwomen in their lives - moms, aunts, and grandmothers joined the class for muffins and a morning of fun.

Shera Welch, Dirks-Anderson Kindergarten teacher, has been accepted into Texas A&M Master of Ed program - Accelerated Preparation of Leaders for Under-served Schools (A-PLUS Cohort). Only 100 applicants were accepted to the program. Way to go Ms. Welch!!

Richard Neale "Tuff" Hedeman, American retired three-time Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Bull Riding World Champion, visited with our 5th graders at the Limpia Hat Company in Fort Davis today. He talked about his career, answered questions, and signed autographs.
