Pride of the Tribe: Fort Davis Indian Regional Qualifiers preparing for competition at Angelo State University. Senior, Elsa, placed 1st in Ready Writing, 2nd in Headline Writing and 2nd in Literary Criticism, and will compete in all 3 at the State UIL Meet on May 18th and 19th at the University of Texas in Austin. We also had solid performances by Jesus, 10th in Current Issues, Liam, 10th in Spelling, and Ethan, 14th in Computer Science.

All our regional tennis kids represented Fort Davis so well. We have four state qualifiers. Boys Doubles Colten Gray and Ethan Serrano and mixed doubles Jesus Ramos and Gracie Boultinghouse will represent at state in San Antonio May 7-8. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

District Track Results
JH Girls: Maggie Egg got 1st in the long jump, 3rd in the high jump and 5th in the 100 meter dash. Taryn Kenzie got 3rd in the triple jump and 4th in the 100 meter dash. Cashlyn Trussell got 4th in the discus. The 4X100 meter relay team placed 2nd(Taryn, Maggie, Ximena Ciscneros and Bryleigh Hamilton). The 4X200 meter relay placed 3rd(taryn, Maggie, Ximena and Serenity Morales)
JH Boys: Jaxon Weaver placed 2nd in the high jump, 4th in the 100 meter dash and 6th in the 200 meter dash. The 4X100 meter relay placed 3rd(Jaxon, Draven Ybarra, Carlos Chacon and Tevita Tofiga)

Fort Davis had an AWESOME two days of tennis. They have worked hard this season and spent lots of time traveling to tournaments and on the courts getting ready for these past two days. We have 11 going on to regionals in San Angelo April 20-21. Here are the district results
Girls Singles - Giselle Ramos was 3rd (alternate for regionals)
Boys Singles - Abraham Karleen was District Champion (after a 4 hour match followed by a 3 hour match)
Yasir Fierro was 3rd (alternate to regionals)
Girls Doubles - Hokulani Tofiga and Neveah Sanchez were District Champions
Iliana Serrano and Alexi Hernandez were 2nd
