Blood Drive Information Attached:
Elvira Hermosillo from the Big Bend Conservation Alliance, instructs the Dirks-Anderson students on what a Flex Farm is and how it runs. The Flex Farm is powered by a Hydroponic System that waters and an LED tower that provides light.
Fifth graders helped Ms. Hermosillo assemble the Flex Farm and filled the water tanks with water. After the fifth graders prepared the system for planting, all students helped plant the seeds onto the Rockwool Flat.
Fifth graders will be in charge of checking the water's PH level and keeping it at an optimal level of 6.0. They will also add nutrients and maintain the tank's water supply.
The Flex Farm, in the Learning Lab, will produce Romaine lettuce at the end of October.

Time Change: The Lion's Club enchilada supper this Saturday will start at 4:30pm at the Methodist church. Enchilada plates are $10 each, desserts are by donations.

This weeks football game against Holy Cross has been changed to Saturday evening at 7:00pm at Ratliff Stadium 1862 E Yukon Rd, in Odessa.
Saturday's girls varsity volleyball game against Marfa will start at 1:30pm.
