Shadix Todd Wetzel

Nickname: Shady, Dr. Pretzel

Friends I will remember most: ALLISON, Abby, Paul, Tristen, Jason, Jodi, Jenny, Damien, Karla, Cindy, Alex, Max, Ellie, Miranda, Faith B.

Hardest thing to leave behind after high school: Fun at the newspaper, the idea that you can miss an entire week of school and catch up in two days

I am most grateful for: Haden, Mom & Dad, Allison, Allison’s family, true friends, and my fast metabolism

Most influential teacher: Coach Lara, Dr. Easterling, Mrs. Scheier, Coaches Cason and Parson, Mr. Hernandez, Mrs. Sanchez, Mr. McCrae, Mr. White

Favorite Food: Anything homemade, Chunky Chicken Noodle Soup, Mrs. Martini’s tacos, Abby’s oreo balls

Favorite high school memory: 3:53 pm, getting stuck at the Fort Stockton Stripes for 3 hours during a One Act Play trip, XC trips, dates with Allison, doing stupid stuff with Jason and Tristen

Favorite song/band: Night Lovell, Eminem, NF, Lil Wayne

Favorite saying/quote: “You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. True power is sitting back and observing things with logic. True power is restraint. If words control you that means everyone else can control you. Breathe and allow things to pass.” Warren Buffett

What would be your advice to underclassmen: Procrastinate as much as you can/want. Due Date anxiety gives you superpowers.

After I graduate, I plan to: Attend Austin College majoring in Political Science.
