FDISD will be extending our home based instruction through Friday, April 17, due to the new CDC and governmental guidelines released this past weekend.  FDISD will continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 and adjust our instructional plans as necessary.  We will continue to follow our published schedules for assignment pick-up and drop-off each Monday for our elementary students.  Junior high and high school students will be receiving and submitting assignments via email and online communication.  Teachers will send other periodic communication to students via email, or to parents via phone.  More information will be available on our website and FaceBook page as circumstances change.

It is important that everyone continue to follow safe practices regarding social distancing and travel.  There are new confirmed cases of COVID-19 being reported in El Paso, Odessa, Midland, and other locations in the Permian Basin.  Please do not travel unless it is an absolute necessity.  Please contact your doctor if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, and avoid contact with other people, if possible.

FDISD will continue to do our very best to provide your child with quality instruction, given our current set of circumstances.  Please feel free to contact your child's teacher, or the campus administrators, if you need additional information, or assistance.  It is important that your children continue to work on their assignments daily.  Grades will continue to be issued for assignments for high school credit purposes.  Schedules for our normal end of year events, including graduation, will be updated as we get closer to the end of the regularly scheduled school year.

We hope you and your family are safe and well.  We are confident this health crisis will pass, but we have to remain flexible and vigilant, checking for information updates frequently.
