Fort Davis Junior-Senior High School will conduct parent-child reunification drills on Wednesday, January 29th in order to practice what to do in case of an emergency. These drills will help prepare you and your child to act quickly as well as to reduce fear and anxiety should an emergency occur. You are an important part of the Fort Davis ISD Emergency Operation Plan.

The drill will be Wednesday afternoon and will include grades 6 through 12.

● Students will evacuate at 2:55 p.m. to the designated reunification site.

● A telephone message will be sent to parents/guardians through Thrillshare.

● Parents/Guardians will pick up their child at the designated reunification site beginning at 3:10 p.m.

● Parents/Guardians will park their vehicle in front of the reunification site and meet their child at the sidewalk. School personnel will be there to reunite parent/guardian and child.

For the safety of your child, he/she will be released only to you or the person listed on the student’s Emergency Contact List. It is very important that the information and phone numbers on this Emergency Contact List are current.

Make sure you bring legal identification (driver’s license, passport, military ID) to the reunification site.

Students who drive themselves (and siblings) to school will remain at the reunification area until all other students have been picked up by parents/guardians. They will then be escorted back to the campus to obtain their vehicle and leave.

Please call the high school office at 432-426-4444 if you have questions. We appreciate your help in conducting this safety drill.
