FDISD Parents and students,

The Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are right around the corner, with many people eagerly awaiting reunions and fellowship with family after a long, lonely, and divisive spring, summer, and fall.  Many of our FDISD staff feel exactly the same way, wishing to reconnect with other family members in a more personal, private, and warm manner, while we celebrate our blessings and give thanks.
FDISD would ask that each of you plan your trips carefully and safely.  Those of you travelling outside of the country, or to areas with high concentrations of COVID cases, may need to take additional steps to minimize any exposure to COVID-19 cases and plan for an adequate monitoring period upon your return.  We have been much more fortunate here than those in neighboring counties and school districts, and we would like to make sure we continue that fortune by staying vigilant and consistent with our health and safety protocols.  Here are a few things to consider during the holidays:
1.  Be mindful of your proximity to other people in a crowd
2.  Wear a mask while in public places
3.  Wash your hands frequently
4.  Remain aware of the health of those around you
5.  Plan for an appropriate self-quarantine if you believe you (or your family) were exposed to possible (or suspected ) COVID-19 infectious people
6.  Continually monitor you and your family for COVID-19 related symptoms
7.  Be THANKFUL for our blessings of health, family, friendships, and grace.
