The recipients of the special sports awards.

On May 14, 2009 the Fort Davis athletic department held their annual sports banquet for the high school students. All athletes and managers received certificated for their participation and dedication to their team. Along with the participation awards, six special athletes received the ultimate recognition as an Indian athlete.

Gilbert Granado III Fighting Heart Award:

This award is about getting through the hard times that a team faces, and Kacie and Gerry had the ability to get through the season because of their ability to never give up.

Attitude Award:

Jeffery Alvarado

Both Jamie and Jeffrey both remained positive throughout the athletics season, encouraging their teams through the ups and downs.

Newcomer of the Year Award:

Jazmin Chavez

Francisco Perez

New to the high school athletics, Jazmin and Fransico have what it takes to play at this level; impressing the team, the coaches, and the community requesting your service.
